• Radhakrishnan’s renown expanded not just throughout India but throughout the entire world. Oxford University acknowledged him when they asked him for the coveted job of Spalding Professor of Eastern Religions. In addition, he was admitted as a Fellow of The British Academy in 1939.

• Dr. Radhakrishnan was awarded The Templeton Prize in 1975. This was due to his promotion of ‘A universal truth of God that included love and knowledge for all people.’ Dr. Radhakrishnan, being the lovely and unselfish individual that he was, donated the entire award money to Oxford University.
